Have you gotten stuck with the terms JSON, YAML or XML?
Understanding data formats like this is becoming more and more important. You use them in microservices and DevOps tools like Ansible. These skills are also prerequisites for most of our other courses here.
My name is Glen Jarvis and I am a professional DevOps/SRE consultant. I use Ansible, Linux and Python every day and I want to teach you to do what I do.
In this course, I will:
- go over each format
- prove the strengths and weaknesses of each, and
- give examples on how to produce and consume this data with the Python Programming Language
If you are writing in another programming language, the process is very similar. That's the strength of these formats.
Working knowledge of YAML will prepare you for two of my other courses:
- Ansible Hands-On and
- Debugging Ansible.
Understanding JSON is important for my Python programming courses.
You will also receive skills-based digital credentials in the form of
a badge and certificate. These have special digital code just for you embedded within the images.
